Jonathan Geiger has over forty years of management and hands-on experience in information management, including data warehousing, customer relationship management, quality assurance, data governance, application development and support, productivity management, and training. He was a leader in Total Quality Management activities at Florida Power & Light Company in the company’s successful quest for the Deming Prize. Mr. Geiger specializes in data governance, business intelligence, and customer relationship management, having gained his initial experience as a program manager at the Florida Power & Light, and subsequently as a consultant.
Mr. Geiger performs strategic consulting for companies in a variety of industries. Specifically, his strategic consulting includes assessments, program and project management, facilitation, business requirements analysis, architecture design, quality assurance, and data modeling.
Mr. Geiger is a recognized leader in business intelligence. In addition to his consulting work, Mr. Geiger presents frequently at national and international conferences, and he is a course developer and seminar instructor. He has co-authored over sixty articles and three books: Mastering Data Warehouse Design (John Wiley & Sons, 2003), which explains how to design and manage a sustainable data warehouse environment; Building the Customer-Centric Enterprise: Using Data Warehousing for Customer Relationship Management (John Wiley & Sons, 2001), which provides information to help companies better understand their customers and explains how to develop the required organization and culture and technology infrastructure to foster mutually beneficial, long-lasting relationships; and Data Stores, Data Warehousing and the Zachman Framework: Managing Enterprise Knowledge with Bill Inmon and John Zachman (Mc-Graw Hill, 1997), which provides information to help companies build and profit from an architected environment.
Articles appeared in publications such as Information Management Review, Strategic Systems, IS Audit and Control Journal, e-Business Advisor, and The Data Warehousing Institute Journal, and on-line publications such as TDWI NewsFlash, The Data Administration Newsletter, B-Eye Network, and SearchCRM.
Mr. Geiger earned his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Georgia Tech and his MBA from the University of Miami (Florida). He is a member of The Data Warehousing Institute and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He joined the eLearningCurve faculty in 2012.
