Additional explanation and examples throughout the course of the how to develop data quality rules from the profiling results would be beneficial. Overall, a great course. Thanks.

Your courses - Data Profiling and Data Quality Assessment - are of great value for me. The topic is explained very well, the comprehensive knowledge can be obtained. Another aspect - it is easy to understand everything even to someone who isn't native English speaker :) I specially enjoy the good and descriptive examples you use!

Data Profiling Review

I found the course to be extremely beneficial, to-the-point and maintains very well organized transitions of the topics. Also, as an experienced educator, I was very impressed with the ease of use of the navigation mechanism and it's capability to support true "self-learning" pedagogy.

Review of the Course
October 6, 2009
Reviewer: Arnošt Katolický from Plzen, Czech Republic
I must say, that the course helped me to understand the relationship between different points of view: statistics, economics, informatics, analysis, decisions and management – all this in connection with Data Quality Management and especially with Data Profiling. My university-studies were oriented to statistics. I was focused in the beginning on economics, then more and more with IS projects, and finally with management of ICT support of the decision making process.
During my enterprise practice I was active as an external university teacher and 10 years ago I started working in the field of e-learning. All this has played a role in my assessment of eLearningCurve’s Data Profiling course.
The course was, for me, a very interesting and valuable combination of useful theory and best practices. The quality of the course content is very good. The presentation format (Flash video presented on-line, on-demand) is especially valuable for people with limited time for formal study.
Structuring the course in 5 modules was a good decision. The modules are organized logically – the education process flows step by step from more theoretical to more practical parts of the content. Overviews and summaries definitely helped me to understand all the internal and external know-how relations and dependences.
The on-line presentation is excellent. The instructor is a world-class teacher and delivers material in clear and understandable language. The course provides applied and proven methodologies. The possibility to get certificate has a motivating influence. The content matches fully the title and the description of the course.
Conclusion:
The course met my expectations fully. I recommend it with one only exception:
- I find the 30-day time limit for such important topics as absolute minimum.
May be it could be changed to a 2 part schema each with a 3 week period.

Data Profiling Review

The course was well-designed and presented. I appreciate the ability to back up and repeat material. Printing the notes booklet and taking notes is critical for me so was also glad to have a copy of the slides available.
