This exam tests knowledge and understanding of architectural and governance problems leading to disparate data and best practice solutions for data resource management. You will be tested in these areas:
- How to define and identify disparate data
- How to identify the impact of disparate data on the business
- How to define and manage data resource quality
- Specific problems and solutions for data resource architecture, including data names, data definitions, data structures, data integrity rules, and data documentation
- Specific problems and solutions for data governance and data resource management, including data orientation, data availability, data responsibility, data
vision, and data recognition
The exam consists of 20 carefully crafted questions of different kinds and degrees of difficulty. This removes the element of luck that is common in exams that consist entirely of multiple choice questions. You are required to complete the exam in one sitting in 40 minutes. You are allowed three attempts to achieve a passing score of 70%. Each attempt at an exam, however, will present you with a different set of questions than previous attempts.
The exam is intended to be quite challenging and requires reasonable mastery of the course material. We recommend that you take Best Practices in Data Resource Management course by Mike Brackett and review it multiple times before taking the exam.
Once you pass the exam, you will receive a Certificate of Education documenting that you have demonstrated mastery of the topic. Further, the exam counts towards CIMP – Data Governance and CIMP – Data Qualitycertification tracks, and can be used as an elective exam in any other CIMP track. Click here to learn more about CIMP.
