This exam tests knowledge and understanding of data governance concepts, principles, and steps from the perspective of the business.
You will be tested in these areas:
- Business drivers and business case for data governance
- Building blocks of sustainable data governance
- Data governance principles, policies, and standards
- How to communicate data governance to business leaders
- Functions and roles in data governance teams and projects
- Metrics for sustaining data governance
- Culture change management
The exam consists of 20 carefully crafted questions of different kinds and degrees of difficulty. This removes the element of luck that is common in exams that consist entirely of multiple choice questions. You are required to complete the exam in one sitting in 40 minutes. You are allowed three attempts to achieve a passing score of 70%. Each attempt at an exam, however, will present you with a different set of questions than previous attempts.
The exam is intended to be quite challenging and requires reasonable mastery of the course material. We recommend that you take Data Governance for Business Leaders course by John Ladley and review it multiple times before taking the exam.
Once you pass the exam, you will receive a Certificate of Education documenting that you have demonstrated mastery of the topic.
